This is a photo of four generations of Stroups. What I found amazing was it was a photo of Alexander's wife Irene Fewell Stroup. I have more photos and stories about this family that I will be posting soon.
Irene Fewell was born 1813 in Cowpens, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Edmond Fewell and Sarah Jennings Fewell (Who later married Jacob Stroup II Ironmaster). Irene died 18 Feb 1903 in Arkansas. This marriage by her mother means she married her step-brother Alexander Stroup.
