Stroup(e) Family Reunion August 7th

Early Reminder [UPDATE May 5, 2011] ...

The 87th Annual Stroup(e) Family Reunion will be held Sunday, August 7th, near the original lands of our shared ancester, Johann Jacob Stroup, in Alexis, Gaston County, North Carolina. Alexis Baptist Church Family Life Center. 12:30pm. Pot Luck Lunch, followed by meeting and family fellowship.

The Comfort Inn is conveniently located in Lincolnton, about 10 miles northwest of Alexis, NC. And near the intersection of Highway 321 and NC Highway 150.

The Confort Inn offers a ($10/off) discounted rate of $59/room with any bed configuration (1 King, 2 Queens, etc). The manager has offered a discounted rate of $79 for their suites which include 2 rooms with a King bed in the bedroom, a pull out sofa in the living room, a wet bar area with refrigerator and microwave, and a 2 person jacuzzi tub.

The room price includes a hot buffet breakfast, WIFI in all rooms, swimming pool, free entry to ZX fitness club (about a mile away). Check in is 3 pm (or earlier if a room is available); check out is 11 am.

To get the group rate, all folks have to do is make their reservations by July 29th and say they are "with the Stroup(e) family reunion." Their cancellation policy is 24 hours in advance.

Directions from the Comfort Inn to the Alexis Baptist Church: Turn right out of the parking lot of the Comfort Inn heading East on NC Highway 150; bear right onto NC Highway #27 --- follow about 10 miles to Alexis; turn right on Alexis / High Shoals Road to church immediately on left.
