Linda Stroupe Clarke Obit

LINCOLNTON - Mrs. Linda Stroupe Clarke, age 60 of 132 Woodvale Circle in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, January
20, 2011.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, January 24, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church in Lincolnton with

Rev. Claude Wilson-Stayton, Rev. Meg Skidmore, and Rev. Doug McClain officiating. Burial will follow in the Southside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 am on Monday prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Clarke was born September 21, 1950 in Lincoln County to Joyce Sigmon Stroupe and the late James Walter Stroupe. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Delores Ann Stroupe. Linda worked as a paralegal and as a stong hospice advocate.
Linda kept her membership at Southside Baptist Church while at the same time was very active in the First Presbyterian Church along with her husband. Most recently she has served as moderator of the Women of the Church. She was a great cook and served as co-chair of the bereavement committee at First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, David Clarke of the home, and her mother, Mrs. Joyce Stroupe of Lincolnton.
